I’m Michael Amos Cody. I’m a husband, father, grandfather, orphaned son, brother, brother-in-law, cousin, etc.
I’m a friend, acquaintance, man sitting in an office, man walking along the sidewalk or side of the road, etc.
I’m a reader. I’m a traveler. I’m a lover of good food and good beer.
I’m a Professor of English in the Department of Literature & Language at East Tennessee State University, where I teach a lot of different courses but mainly early American and Native American literature. I’ve researched and published on a few different authors but mainly on Charles Brockden Brown and Nathaniel Hawthorne.
I’m a writer of fiction and, now and then, a poem. I’m a songwriter.
I’m periodically or regularly a blogger, depending on what’s going on with all of the above.
